I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
